Hi, I'm Lee, owner and lead engineer of Northumbria Gas Limited. I have been in the industry for over 16 years and founded Northumbria Gas in 2015. We are based in the heart of the North East, several miles from Newcastle upon Tyne and we cover most of the region, ranging from Hexham to Sunderland; Alnwick to Durham; and everywhere in between.

Northumbria Gas specialises in boiler installations, servicing and repairs. We work on Natural Gas, LPG, Oil and Solid Fuel boilers and appliances. We also offer a complete bathroom installation service and are able to design a bespoke bathroom based on your individual needs. We install and maintain wet and dry stoves as well as undertaking rotary chimney sweeping.

At Northumbria Gas we pride ourselves in offering a gold standard and professional service whilst maintaing the personal touch with all our customers to ensure they are offered the most appropriate advice, whether this is a simple repair or a complex 'full heating system' overhaul.

We are Gas Safe and Oftec registered and also hold the G3 ‘Unvented Cylinder’ qualification.

What our services consists of:

  • Boiler internal visual inspection for gas or water leaks and general condition.
  • Bolier flue external inspection.
  • Condensate trap cleaned and seal inspected (A and B rated condensing boilers only).
  • Flue integrity test and flue visual inspection.
  • Controls inspected and test for function ability (Room stat/programmer(s)).
  • Service certificate sent via email.
  • Fan pressure test.
  • High and low boiler performance check and recorded.
  • Case inspected.
  • Air/gas mixture test.
  • Expansion vessel checked.
  • Gas rated- to see if your boiler is burning the correct amount of gas.
  • Earthbonding check.
  • Electric safety check (fuse size).
  • Cleaning of system filter.

Terms and conditions:

  • All cancellations must come to Northumbria Gas Ltd in writing via email or letter.
  • If you cancel at any time other than on an anniversary of joining the plan, you will be charged either the outstanding amount for works received, or the monthly payments due until the anniversary of your plan, whichever is lower.
  • This is a 12 month rolling contract. You will be given at least 4 weeks’ notice of any changes to your monthly fee.
  • You are responsible in ensuring your boiler is booked in within the above timeframe.
  • Provision should be made to allow the gas engineer safe access to the boiler.
  • Appointments can be made up to four weeks either side of the date the official service is due.
  • This is not an emergency breakdown cover nor are parts or labour for repairs included in this plan.
  • Only natural gas and LPG wall hung and floor standing boilers qualify for this service plan.
  • 2 Tonnes of 'Gold Standard, Carbon Offsets' purchased per customer per year.
  • 75 Trees purchased for planting per customer per year.
  • Carbon Offsets and trees are purchased on a monthly basis.
  • All questions regarding tree planting and carbon offsets can be found on Ecologi's website.
